Education Station: Retailers Run Fresh Food Cooking Demos

With meal ideas and nutrition information, fresh food demoing has transformed into a resource for shoppers

Some retailers are moving beyond traditional in-store sampling and attracting customers through interactive fresh food demos.

Much of perishable demoing now centers around education, not taste, said Michael Stern, Crossmark senior vice president who leads the New Concepts in Marketing division.
