Costco sold 383 units of the affected product, 88% lean fresh ground beef. The beef consists of bull meat and finely ground beef from a Costco plant in Tracy, Calif., and bench trim from the Coon Rapids location. The bench trim’s components may have come from as many as 16 processing facilities.

FSIS said 342 customers purchased the ground beef from the Coon Rapids store from Sept. 4-7. Consumers are encouraged to check their freezers for the recalled product.
