Urban Radish to Bring Fresh Foods to Downtown L.A.

LOS ANGELES — Urban Radish, a market with a focus on fresh foods, broke ground here in the Downtown Arts District this week.

The specialty grocery store will be housed in a converted 8,200-square-foot, former glass manufacturing warehouse. Sustainable design features include the use of native plants to cover and insulate the building, and one of the largest electric car charging stations in the U.S. in the parking lot.
