Marsh Closing Three Stores

INDIANAPOLIS — Marsh Supermarkets here said Wednesday it would close three central Indiana stores in Greenwood, Anderson and Martinsville, citing shifting demographics.

“As all good companies do, on a routine basis we review and evaluate our asset base,” Connie Gardner, a spokeswoman for Marsh, said in a statement. “While the decision to close a store is always difficult, the Marsh management team is committed to making decisions that will strengthen the company’s position in our marketing areas and ensure our long-term success."
