ARLINGTON, Va. — The National Grocers Association here said Monday it has named Laura Strange director of communications and marketing.
She succeeds Lauren Hefner, who left NGA in September.
Strange previously worked as communications director for Rep. Bob Latta, R-Ohio, following stints in the Washington, D.C., office of Yahoo, Sunnyvale, Calif., and with the Council on State Taxation in Washington.
At NGA she will be responsible for implementing and advancing communications and marketing strategies; managing the association's communications and marketing initiatives; and developing content for various platforms.
According to Peter J. Larkin, president and chief executive officer of NGA, "Laura's professional background will complement the goals and objectives of our communications department as we continue to expand the impact of our communications initiatives."
