A light year on the new-store front for Wal-Mart Stores would qualify as a big one for nearly anyone else.
The Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer expects to open between 135 and 155 new stores in the U.S. this fiscal year, consisting of 50 to 60 Supercenters and 85 to 95 new Neighborhood Market stores.
