Kroger, Cincinnati, last week opened the first convenience store under the Kroger banner in College Station, Texas, according to local reports.
The Kroger c-store is located less than two miles from a conventional Kroger supermarket.
The location uses similar graphics and logo of Kroger's regional convenience brands Kwik Shop, Quik Stop, Loaf 'N Jug, Turkey Hill and Tom Thumb. KAGS reported that chain officials said there were other Kroger c-stores in the planning stages.
