GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Meijer here is making plans to continue expanding its in-store financial services. The supermarket has extended its partnership with Atlanta-based financial consultancy IBT Enterprises to identify financial institutions for in-store locations, the companies reported this week. This is the second extension of the partnership and is slated for an additional three years. IBT will retain the exclusive rights to market, design and construct in-store retail space for financial service providers. IBT will also continue to provide Meijer with other retail and service providers in a variety of industries, IBT said. "IBT's ability to enhance our stores offerings through the right mix of financial institutions and service providers, combined with their superior design, construction and on-time delivery, has been invaluable," said Jennifer Bonney, property manager, Meijer Real Estate Department. In-store financial facilities are currently operated by Flagstar Bank, Chase Bank, Consumers Credit, Team One Credit Union, CASE Credit Union and Meijer Credit Union. Meijer offers its own debit and credit MasterCards, a commercial credit card for businesses and has a partnership with Coinstar, Bellevue, Wash.
