NEW YORK — In an attempt to change taking medicine from a chore to a treat, KidKupz here will release KidKupz Candy-Coated Medicine Dispensing Cups this fall. The line of cups has an all-natural, candy-coated rim, available in kid-friendly flavors like sour cherry, blue raspberry, watermelon and green apple. A national marketing strategy for the product is being run by New York-based BWA Advertising and includes in-store promotions. Suggested retail price for consumers will be $4.99-$5.29 per package, which includes six cups.

BUGS BEWARE

HOUSTON, Texas — Don't Bug Me! here has released an insect repellent patch of the same name that is now being supported by a national consumer promotion campaign. The Don't Bug Me! Patch delivers a combination of vitamin B1 and aloe throughout the body, creating a scent that is almost imperceptible to humans and that bugs don't like, the company said. Promotional support includes online, print and broadcast outlets such as Real Simple and Reader's Digest magazines, About.com and Good Morning America. The patches are available in a five-pack for $4.99 or a 10-pack for $7.99.

DVDS FOR THE CURE

CENTURY CITY, Calif. — During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment here and MGM Home Entertainment, Los Angeles, are joining forces with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Dallas, on a “DVDs For The Cure” promotion. A selection of 12 best-selling DVDs will be available in pink packaging that includes the Susan G. Komen for the Cure logo and the cause ribbon graphic. The companies are donating 50 cents from the sale of each specially packaged DVD to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and are supporting the collection with a consumer marketing campaign.
