PITTSBURGH -- The University of Pittsburgh‘s School of Pharmacy plans to develop its medication therapy management training -- developed in conjunction with Rite Aid, Camp Hill, Pa. -- putting it online and making it available to pharmacists across Pennsylvania, according to a report in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review yesterday. The university has been training Rite Aid pharmacists to meet with patients one-on-one to examine their drug regimens since 2005. Participating stores currently have special consultation rooms where patients meet with the pharmacist to plan their medication schedule and check for any drug interactions for a $20 fee, the report said.
