PLEASANTON, Calif. -- A Safeway store in West Seattle is now selling biodiesel fuel. The first Safeway to do so, the store on Admiral Way is offering two pumps with a total of four nozzles, spouting a fuel called SoyPower. It's a blend of 20% soybean-oil-based biodiesel and 80% petroleum diesel fuel. Biodiesel burns less carbon dioxide than petroleum-based diesel.
