ORLANDO, Fla. -- CheapBuy Shopping Channels announced yesterday that it has opened a food court (foodcourt.cheapbuychannels.com) to its 1,000-store virtual shopping mall. The food court includes links to Safeway.com and Safeway subsidiaries Vons.com and Genuardis.com. Other links include Starbucks, Omaha Steaks, Legal Sea Foods and Mrs. Field‘s Cookies. “Since our launch on Jan. 17, 2007, we have had several hundred shoppers email us asking why we didn‘t have a food court, which was likely asked in jest. Being very customer-oriented, we immediately got busy building a food court,” said Bert L. Bill, chief operating officer, in a statement. “We are now in discussion with a national pizza chain to provide our shoppers the opportunity to order a pizza from our food court and have it delivered to their door while they shop.”
