As president and CEO of The Hershey Co., John P. Bilbrey continues to drive the growth of some of the world’s best-known brands.

At the end of the company’s first quarter, Bilbrey reported to financial analysts that U.S. net sales had increased by 3.4%, but noted that increase fell below expectations. 

Last week, in a preliminary report, the company said it expected net sales to increase 4.5% in the second quarter.
