Manager Dan Wilder then gave the money, and more, to nonprofit organizations.End 68 Hours of Hunger was the first of six charities to receive a donation. Its Raymond location can now fill backpacks with food for 48 local children every weekend for a year."Every $2,000 will fund a new program," said Claire Bloom, founder of End 68 Hours of Hunger. "So that's 10 new programs, each of whom may serve another 48 children, so that's another 500 children who'll be helped by this money."Checks went to the Raymond Coalition for Youth and four area food pantries. The total donation from the store was $100,000."This can be game-changing for them to really help out a lot of people, so it was fantastic," Wilder said. "I felt like I won the lottery even though I didn't. If this is as close as I come, I'll be happy."Lottery officials said they were excited about Hannaford's generosity and about eventually meeting the winning ticket holder."We've been contacted by a group of attorneys representing the winner," lottery Executive Director Charlie McIntyre said. "I've seen a photocopy of the ticket but not the actual ticket yet. We're waiting for that to walk through the door any day now."The jackpot is the largest in state history and the second-largest single jackpot ticket ever sold anywhere.Get the WMUR app12967056
