Tom Farello was named president of Fleming Supermarkets of Florida and is responsible for the retail operations of the company's 21 Hyde Park Markets in south Florida. Farello succeeds Don Lawrence, who left the company. Farello joined Fleming in October after four years at Red Food Stores in Chattanooga, Tenn., a subsidiary of Bi-Lo and Ahold USA, where he was chief operating officer. He will report directly to Tom Zaricki, senior vice president of retail operations.

Russ Hill was named president of the Memphis, Tenn., general merchandise distribution center and will be responsible for overseeing all operations there. Hill succeeds Richard Trimarche, who left the company. Hill has worked for Fleming since 1974, most recently as marketing manager for the Topeka, Kan., general merchandise division. He will report directly to Andy Anderson, vice president, general merchandise division.

Dennis Reinwald was named general manager of the Concordia, Kan., division. Reinwald will be responsible for overseeing all operations in the division.

Reinwald, a 27-year veteran of Scrivner Inc., most recently was director of merchandising for the Concordia division. Fleming acquired the Concordia division when it merged with Scrivner earlier this year. Reinwald assumes the responsibilities of Michael Carey, current Concordia president.

Fleming said Carey will take on an unspecified new role as part of the company's re-engineering project. Reinwald will report directly to Steve Davis, executive vice president.
