Supervalu Adds Three Positions
ere has named three executives to new regional positions.
Bill Benzing was named executive vice president of marketing for the Midwest region. He most recently was president of Supervalu's JM Jones division in Champaign, Ill. He reports to O'Neill McDonald, president of the region.
Bill Goodlick was appointed executive vice president of marketing for the Central region. Goodlick was president of Supervalu's Food Marketing division in Fort Wayne, Ind. He reports to Joel Raffenbeul, regional president.
Brian Holloway was tapped as vice president of finance for the Southeast. Most recently, he was vice president and controller of Supervalu's Max Club subsidiary in Huntington Beach, Calif. Holloway reports to Ted Crouse, president of the region.
Delchamps Names Operations VP
MOBILE, Ala. -- Delchamps here has named Frank L. Bennen senior vice president of operations.
He succeeds Hugh C. Van Hooser, who recently retired after some 40 years with the company.
Bennen most recently was president of Minneapolis-based Supervalu's 52-store Laneco division in Easton, Pa.
He has 23 years of experience in retail operations, including stints with Skaggs Alpha Beta Co., Richardson, Texas, Alpha Beta Co., La Habra, Calif., and the Schubert & Bennen Bear Valley Produce Co., San Bernardino, Calif.
Delchamps operates 118 supermarkets in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana, and 12 liquor stores in Florida.
