E.COM, Halifax, N.S., has added three major seafood companies that will participate in the group's collaborative investigation of e-commerce opportunities for the global seafood industry. Scandsea International AB, of Sweden, Youngs Bluecrest Seafood Limited of the U.K., and Sanford Limited, of New Zealand, have agreed to work with the original members of SeafoodAlliance.com to explore the potential of business-to-business electronic commerce. SeafoodAlliance.com is exploring the feasibility of a neutral seafood business exchange portal for the World Wide Web, and is currently in the investigative stages of its activities.
