NFFA SCHEDULES CONFERENCE FOR APRIL IN ATLANTA

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The National Frozen Food Association, based here, has released program details for the seventh annual Retail Executive Conference, April 18 to 20, 1999, to be held at the Marietta Conference Center & Resort in Atlanta.

The conference will explore the opportunity that the frozens category presents in providing meal solutions for today's consumer, focusing on new and emerging trends as they relate to packaging, equipment and new product introductions.

Steve Schmidt, managing director, United States, at ACNielsen, Chicago, will present a state-of-the-industry address to kick off the conference.

There will also be a manufacturer and retailer panel, moderated by Thomas Aquilina, president of Aquilina & Associates, Crystal Lake, Ill., outlining what some of the major players in the food industry are doing to create Consumer Solutions with Frozen Foods.

Other confirmed speakers include Pat Brooks, frozen-food category manager at Save Mart Supermarkets, Modesto, Calif., and chairman of the NFFA retail committee; Bob Cristofono, director of strategic customer development for Pillsbury Co., Minneapolis; Harry Dignazio, vice president of sales for Hussmann Corp., Bridgeton, Mo., a manufacturer of freezer cabinets for supermarkets; John Karolefski, a senior editor of SN and editor of Brand Marketing magazine, New York; Lynn Dornblazer, managing editor of New Product News, Chicago; Ryan Matthews, president of Firstmatter, East Point, Mich.; and Mike Gorshe of Andersen Consulting, Chicago.

The NFFA limits this conference to the first 150 registrants.
