RUBBADUBBERS AT NOON
Rubba dub dub, it's high noon in the tub. HIT Entertainment here will release "High Noon in the Bathroom" next month. This is third video based on the Nick Jr. preschool series, Rubbadubbers. The title will feature five animated adventures teaching moral lessons to its young audience. HIT Entertainment will carry out a multi-platform marketing campaign through 2004, including an on-pack offer for a complimentary video, cross trailering on other HIT Entertainment videos, ongoing cross merchandising, brand and product awareness, and video/DVD floor and counter displays. In addition, Rubbadubbers episodes are premiering on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr., owned by MTV Networks, New York. "High Noon in the Bathroom" will have a suggested retail price of $14.99 for DVD and $9.99 for VHS.
'SHREK' ON THE SHELF
MINNEAPOLIS -- It's a Shrek-tastic world for General Mills here and DreamWorks, Glendale, Calif. The two companies have teamed up to bring a wide array of Shrek products to the shelves to coincide with the release of "Shrek 2," currently in theaters. In addition to creating a Shrek cereal, General Mills is offering specially marked boxes of cereal with free, glow-in-the-dark, in-pack Shrek watches. Pillsbury Toaster Strudel Pastries and Pillsbury Waffle Sticks feature limited-edition Shrek flavors and offer an on-pack mail-in offer for Shrek Headz toys. Other General Mills brands involved include: Pop Secret Popcorn!, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Yoplait, Old El Paso, Hamburger Helper, Fruit Roll-Ups, and Totino's among others. All the Shrek products are currently available in stores for a limited time.
EEZE-E DOES IT
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -- Quigley here will offer consumers more options to "eeze" their cold symptoms with the launch of three new products in its Cold-Eeze line of remedies including Cold Remedy Spearmint Gum, Cold Remedy Bubble Gum Balls and Green Tea With Honey Lozenges supported by an integrated marketing campaign that includes advertising, public relations and in-store support. The spearmint gum will be available in a 30-piece, three-sleeve blister pack. Cold Remedy Bubble Gum Balls come in three flavors in packages of 18. Products will be available next month.
