RACINE, Wis. -- Promotions Unlimited here has rolled out a new seasonal advertising program for supermarket retailers. The new ad program features 48 to 50 seasonal and general-merchandise items per month, a smaller selection than was included in previous ads. The new program will be available in time for Halloween seasonal promotions.
The company has also implemented a double scanning-code check -- inbound to the warehouse and upon shipment -- to check the accuracy of Universal Product Codes. The company plans a summer buying show, to be held in Milwaukee June 5 to 8, featuring products appropriate to spring, Valentine's day, Easter, Halloween and Christmas sale plans. About 1,500 retailers and wholesalers are expected to participate in the event, a number that would mirror the 25th anniversary show held in Lake Geneva, Wis., last month.
