SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Price Chopper Supermarkets  here said Wednesday that it has hired three new executives.
Karlin Bohnert was named senior vice president and chief information officer; Scott Evans was named vice president of grocery/GM merchandising; and Ken Warfield was named director of loss prevention and security.
Bohnert, who reports to Jerry Golub, president and chief executive officer, will lead the IT team in supporting technology initiatives for the headquarters and 132-store chain. She has more than 30 years of IT experience, including working for companies such as Wal-Mart, Home Depot, ANF, The Limited and MCI, and she most was CIO at RGIS in Michigan.
Evans, who reports to Angelo Cannistraci, group VP of Center Store/pharmacy, will be responsible for promotional planning, processes and delivery, category development, pricing strategy and vendor partnership growth. He has 21 years of food retail experience with Supervalu/Albertsons, and most recently was corporate director of merchandising for grocery and produce.
Warfield, who reports to Anne Davis, VP of risk management, will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of loss prevention programs and security for the headquarters and stores. He comes to Price Chopper with several years of loss prevention experience working for Caldor, Home Depot and The Ratner Cos, and most recently was with CVS.
