PHOENIX — Sprouts Farmers Market here expects to complete most conversions of the Sun Harvest Stores in Texas to the Sprouts banner by next week and to complete most conversions of the Henry's banner in California by the end of September, according to the company's website.
Sprouts acquired the stores from Smart & Final, Los Angeles, in late March.
The conversion of the 34 California stores is scheduled to start the middle of this month, with five or six conversions each week and three the last week of September. Contrary to earlier indications, the company is starting the conversions in Southern California and moving north; in May the company said it would start in Northern California and work south.
The website says Sprouts will convert 31 of 34 stores by the end of September. It did not mention the other three, and company officials did not respond to SN queries.
