HOUSTON — Cardtronics [2] here, an operator of ATMs, said Monday it has expanded its management services agreement begun in 2010 with Cincinnati-based Kroger Co. [3]

The company said it has added 350 ATMs in Kroger banners, including Ralphs [4], Food 4 Less [5] and Foods Co. [6] grocery stores in California and Nevada, as well as Tom Thumb [7] convenience stores in Florida and Alabama.

As the largest single provider of ATM services to the Kroger family of stores, Cardtronics now manages ATMs in more than 1,150 Kroger-owned grocery and convenience stores, with that total spread across 32 states and 13 of Kroger Co.’s local banner names.

“With Cardtronics’ size, scale and coast-to-coast service coverage, we’ve made it logistically and financially prudent for Kroger to consolidate multiple ATM service provider relationships with us,” said Rick Updyke, president, U.S. Business Group, Cardtronics, in a press statement.

Company officials declined to disclose contract terms.
