SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Price Chopper Supermarkets  here has announced the launch of its new sustainable seafood platform, bolstered by the addition of Sustainable Fisheries Partnership and Trace Register.
SFP will be working with Price Chopper to evaluate seafood products and determine the best sources of wild-caught and farmed seafood. Trace Register will provide Price Chopper with a software system to meet the full traceability requirements of producers, processors and distributors of wild-caught and farmed seafood, giving the company the ability to fully trace all the seafood it sources from ocean to shelf.
