COMPTON, Calif. — Ralphs Grocery Co. was placed on three years' probation and ordered to pay fines totaling $67,616 after pleading no contest Tuesday to 62 misdemeanor charges in Van Nuys Superior Court.

Ralphs is a division of Kroger Co. [3], Cincinnati. The charges stemmed from inspections by the Los Angeles Department of Weights and Measures, which found violations involving mislabeling, false advertising and selling items that weighed less than labeled.
