MINNEAPOLIS — As part of a continuing Earth Day program, Cub Foods, a division of Supervalu here, and Shed-it partnered allowed shoppers to gather up old documents and bring them to one of 13 Cub Foods locations on April 25 to be recycled.

Shred-it vehicles were located in the parking lot for what was subbed “document destruction day.” Participants could shred and recycle two grocery bags of documents at no charge.

Cub Foods also ran a special green offer April 22-25, giving customers using any reusable grocery tote to bag their purchases 5 cents off their total grocery bill for each tote used.
