Stop & Shop to Test Effectiveness of In-Store Promotion Devices

Stop & Shop will partner with Willard Bishop, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and Modiv Media for a series of in-store marketing tests to measure the effectiveness of Modiv’s promotional delivery systems.

QUINCY, Mass. — Stop & Shop here will partner with Willard Bishop, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and Modiv Media for a series of in-store marketing tests to measure the effectiveness of Modiv’s promotional delivery systems.

Utilizing in-store intercepts, interviews, surveys and POS analysis, Willard Bishop will determine the effectiveness of Dr Pepper Snapple Group promotional messages and offers delivered by the Modiv Shopper handheld shopping device and DeliVision, which are both used at Stop & Shop stores, where the Modiv Shopper is called “Scan It!” The device enables shoppers to scan and bag their items while they shop, and delivers relevant coupons and promotions based on individual shopping histories and in-store behavior. DeliVision combines queue optimization, self-service kiosk ordering, and targeted promotions delivery in the deli department.
