CONCORD, Mass. — Welch's here has selected Retail Solutions, Mountain View, Calif., to create value from downstream data provided by Meijer and Target — such as point-of-sale and inventory data by day, by store and by product.
"We believe that we have a significant role in driving a better execution at retail in partnership with our customers," said Gregg Malatesta, director, sales, planning and innovation, Welch's, in a statement. "Downstream data gives us the opportunity to really understand on which stores, which items and which events we should focus."
Welch's will start its project at Meijer  and Target , focusing on monitoring new product introductions, improving the planning and execution of its promotions, and reducing exit inventories at the end of events. Retail Solutions' system is offered via Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.
