“We wanted to do something special this summer and get out to all of our markets and get out to our stores with something that’s exciting, something that really brings a good sense of what Fresh & Easy is to customers new and old,” Fresh & Easy spokesperson Brendan Wonnacott told SN.
The street fair began on July 11 in Los Angeles, with the food truck giving out a menu made with Fresh & Easy products and three tents offering complimentary massages, nutrition advice and shopping assistance.
So far, the traveling campaign is off to a strong start, according to Wonnacott.
“It’s been great. We’ve had an incredible reception,” he said.
The truck’s free menu includes Southwest Chicken Tacos, Spicy Soyrizo Tacos, Thai Turkey Lettuce Wraps, Tangy Bleu Cheese Sliders and Mango Carnitas Stuffed Peppers.
“We have a menu of five items, and we selected them not only because they are tasty, but because they’re actually a good representation of what Fresh & Easy is all about. They’re all easy to prepare. They’re made with fresh, great products.”

For the first week, Wonnacott said the chicken tacos and blue cheese sliders have been the most popular, but the vegetarian soyrizo tacos have also been getting a lot of interest.
“The great thing about something like this [street fair] is you get to build up a lot of excitement and anticipation, so we’ve been using social media quite a bit,” he said.
Fresh & Easy customers can follow the truck on Twitter at @fneasytruck as it makes its way through California, Arizona and Nevada until September. So far, the Twitter account has posted updates and pictures from the road including photos of customers at the truck, music being performed at the street fair and the chef preparing the food truck meals.
