AG New England Revamps Staff

PEMBROKE, N.H. — Associated Grocers of New England here said it has promoted Steven Creed to senior vice president of supply chain management, among other executive changes.

Creed, who had been senior vice president of warehousing and transportation, will have responsibility for all warehousing, transportation and procurement functions at the member-owned cooperative wholesaler.

“Steve has done an outstanding job in leading our operation and transportation teams over the past seven years,” said Mike Bourgoine, president and chief executive officer.

Creed will be succeeded by Robert Robichaud, who was promoted to vice president of warehousing and transportation. Robichaud, with 40 years of experience in the industry, recently joined AG New England as manager of supply chain projects after his previous post as distribution director for Shaw's Supermarkets distribution center in Methuen, Mass.

Also, Richard Wheeler has been named vice president of human resources, succeeding Nick Manolis, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests.

“Over the past several years, Nick has been a key member of the senior team and has done an outstanding job leading the training and development of everyone on the AG team. Rick will work closely with Nick and our HR team on all our human resource initiatives over the transition period,” said Bourgoine.

Wheeler has held a number of positions over his long career with AG New England, most recently as vice president of wholesale merchandising and procurement. Assuming Wheeler’s former responsibilities with that title is Allan Hulse, who is currently retail pricing manager and will continue to manage the retail pricing function until his successor is fully trained.

“These changes blend vast experience, knowledge and fresh approaches of a talented and experienced team all of whom continue to keep AG New England well-positioned for the exciting opportunities and challenges of the future,” said Bourgoine.
