Fairway Reopens in Brooklyn

NEW YORK — A Fairway Market store in Brooklyn, which flooded during Hurricane Sandy last October, reopened here on Friday, drawing hundreds of shoppers.

The store, which required extensive renovation, was also revamped to provide better traffic flow and positioning of specialty departments, including a new olive oil room and an expanded bakery and café. The store also widened its grocery aisles and repositioned its meat and seafood cases, officials said in a video tour posted at the retailer’s website.
