FINDLAY, Ohio — Needler Enterprises here, which operates 30 supermarkets in the Midwest through its Fresh Encounter division, said it has promoted Mike Needler Jr. to president and chief operating officer and also named three other officers to new posts.
Needler, who joined the company in October 2009, represents the third generation of family leadership in the company’s 48-year history. Prior to joining the organization, Needler worked in corporate lending and financing.
“Michael has proven his ability to lead our organization on a go forward basis,” stated Mike Needler Sr. who will retain the position of chairman and chief executive officer. “I have mentored Michael closely over the past three years and I feel he is up for the challenge of managing and growing our family business.”
The other officers are Eric Anderson, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Mark Gephart, senior vice president and general manager, and Julie Anderson, secretary/treasurer.
Fresh Encounter owns and operates grocery stores in western Ohio and eastern Indiana under the banners of Great Scot, Community Markets and Sack & Save.
