LAKELAND, Fla. — Consumers are helping to promote private brands this summer by submitting pictures of how they’re being used on vacation.
Publix Super Markets has asked its Facebook friends to share which of its private labels will be brought on vacation this summer.
“Where in the world are Publix products going?" Publix asked. “Show us what you've packed for your trip and where you're headed. Have a great vacation!
Among the responses: Publix coffee and candies are off to Poland; sweet tea is visiting Peru; and crackers and chunk cheese are headed to Virginia.

Meanwhile, Hannaford Bros., Scarborough, Maine, has asked shoppers to post pictures of its Hannaford-branded reusable shopping bag when it’s brought on vacation.
One photo shows it laying on a patio table in Mexico.
“Where’s your Hannaford bag going? Hannaford wrote in a Facebook post. “Share your pics!”
