CGA to Honor 4 Gelson's Executives

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Four executives of Gelson's Markets, Encino, Calif., are scheduled to be inducted into the California Grocers Association Educational Foundation Hall of Achievement next month.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Four executives of Gelson's Markets, Encino, Calif., are scheduled to be inducted into the California Grocers Association Educational Foundation Hall of Achievement next month. The executives are Bernard Briskin, chairman and chief executive officer; Bob Stiles, president; Allan Scharn, retired president; and Bill Roulette, retired senior vice president of operations. The Hall of Achievement was created in 1993 to honor grocery retailers and suppliers in California who have contributed substantially to the benefit and advancement of the grocery industry. According to Peter Larkin, CGA president, "These four executives are perfect candidates for this award. They are individuals who have made a difference." The induction is to be held at a dinner in Los Angeles on March 15. -- Elliot Zwiebach
