DeBoer Named SVP at Family Dollar

MATTHEWS, N.C. — Family Dollar Stores here said Monday that it has promoted former Delhaize executive Tammy DeBoer to the position of senior vice president of food.

Tammy DeBoer

DeBoer joined Family Dollar in June as vice president of private brands and led the company’s efforts to improve quality and selection of its own-label products, Family Dollar said. These efforts included the introduction of 400 new items and a six-year partnership with distributor McLane. Previously, DeBoer served as vice president and general manager for Food Lion’s Bloom stores.

In her new role, she succeeds Trey Johnson III, who left the company to pursue other opportunities, the company said.
