DAYTON, Ohio — Along with using shelf tags and hosting farmers’ markets, Dorothy Lane Market is highlighting local foods in a new way: with an in-store dinner.
On Aug. 16 at 6 p.m., the retailer’s Springboro store will feature a complete meal made from locally grown and produced foods. Tickets cost $25.

The menu includes gazpacho, grass-fed Caprese burgers, chicken with herb-roasted tomato sauce, corn griddle cakes, blackberry crumble with macerated peaches and watermelon aqua fresca. Wine and beer will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle.
“Imagine tables groaning with the freshest local foods we can get our hands on, and sharing them with the local folks who helped bring them to the table,” Dorothy Lane states on its website.
DLM's own Dennis Chrisman will entertain the crowd with his acoustic guitar.
