DunnhumbyUSA Named Great Place to Work

CINCINNATI — DunnhumbyUSA, a joint venture between Kroger Co. and London-based Dunnhumby, has been named a 2012 Great Place to Work in the U.S. by the Great Place to Work Institute, in conjunction with Fortune magazine.

DunnhumbyUSA was ranked 17th out of 25 recognized companies in the category of medium-sized workplaces. Now in its ninth year, the competition is divided into two categories, small (50-250 employees) and medium (251-999 employees). DunnhumbyUSA placed 9th in the Great Place to Work program in 2011.

Among its employee perks, DunnhumbyUSA gives  all employees the day off for their birthday and five weeks of paid vacation after two full years of service; employees gain an additional day off for every year worked. Employees are also rewarded and celebrated after five, 10 and 15 years of service.

“Cultivating a talented, proud and passionate workforce in a time of extreme growth is a common business challenge, and we are thrilled to be recognized by Great Places to Work® for the second year,” said Stuart Aitken, chief executive officer, DunnhumbyUSA., in a statement.

DunnhumbyUSA was established in Cincinnati in 2003 to help Kroger develop targeted marketing campaigns — something it had done successfully with Tesco in the U.K.
