DALLAS — Food Marketing Institute said Tuesday it would return to Chicago for the 2014 FMI Show, after having the conference and trade show in Las Vegas and Dallas for the past several years.
The 2014 event is scheduled for June 10-13, 2014, at McCormick Place. The announcement was made at the FMI2012 show here.
Meanwhile, the FMI FutureConnect conference — held every other year — has been scheduled for The Peabody hotel in Orlando, Fla., from April 30 to May 2, 2013.
In another announcement Tuesday, Leslie G. Sarasin, president and chief executive officer, FMI, said the association was seeking to form some new "share groups" for non-competing retailers to share best practices and discuss retailing strategies. The new groups will be formed later this year, she said.
