Food Lion Promotes Price, DeBoer

SALISBURY, N.C. -- Food Lion has named Kyle Price vice president of category management, Deli/Bakery, while Tammy DeBoer, whom Price replaces, has been named vice president of operations for the company's Northern Division.

SALISBURY, N.C. -- Food Lion has named Kyle Price vice president of category management, Deli/Bakery, while Tammy DeBoer, whom Price replaces, has been named vice president of operations for the company‘s Northern Division. Price, who will report to Derrick Penick, senior vice president of merchandising and distribution, most recently served as director of customer development and local marketing. Price began his career with A&P Supermarkets and also worked for Hannaford Bros. and Homeruns.com before joining Food Lion in 2001, where he has served in a number of key positions. He attended Rutgers University. DeBoer was responsible for all aspects of Food Lion‘s deli, bakery and home meal solutions operations prior to her promotion, and before that she had served as director of private-label brand development and director of regional merchandising. She came to Food Lion in 2005 from Nash Finch Co., where she was vice president of merchandising, pharmacy, marketing and advertising for the retail division, and prior to that she was vice president of sales for Giant Food. She began her grocery career at Food Lion, serving 13 years and rising to the position of vice president of dry merchandising. DeBoer earned a B.A. in business administration at Appalachian State University, Boone, N.C.
