Nash Finch Hires Spinazze, Strzelczyk

MINNEAPOLIS -- Nash Finch Co. yesterday said it has hired two executives from companies in the Northeast.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Nash Finch Co. yesterday said it has hired two executives from companies in the Northeast. Gary Spinazze, formerly with Bozzuto‘s, Cheshire, Conn., was named vice president, vendor relations, and Tom Strzelczyk, who had been with Price Chopper, Schenectady, N.Y., was named vice president, food distribution, Great Lakes Region. Spinazze and Strzelczyk will report to Christopher Brown, executive vice president, food distribution. Spinazze most recently was director of corporate programs and trade relations for Bozzuto‘s. He held a number of executive positions at Nash Finch from 1999 to 2004, and previously had been with Richfood Holdings and Roundy‘s. Strzelczyk most recently was senior vice president, operations, Price Chopper, and before that had positions with Roundy‘s, Fleming and Richfood Holdings. Their hiring follows the recent addition of Robert Dimond, formerly of Wild Oats Markets, as chief financial officer, part of a new team built under Alec Covington, who was named chief executive officer last year.
