Supervalu yesterday said that Carl Jablonski, president of the Shaw’s banner in New England, has decided to retire after 38 years with the company.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Supervalu yesterday said that Carl Jablonski, president of the Shaw’s banner in New England, has decided to retire after 38 years with the company. Larry Wahlstrom, president of Supervalu’s Jewel-Osco banner in Chicago, will succeed Jablonski as president of Shaw’s. Wahlstrom is in turn being succeeded at Jewel-Osco by Keith Nielsen, the banner’s senior vice president of operations and a 40-year veteran of the company.
