Bob Miller is key to Albertsons’ success

Executive chairman Bob Miller gets a lot of the credit for Albertsons’ success, industry observers agree.

Miller is an industry veteran of 54 years who started his career at Albertsons in 1961, rising to EVP, retail operations. He left in 1991 to become chairman and CEO of Fred Meyer, then moved with other Fred Meyer executives in 1999 to Rite Aid, where he was chairman and CEO until 2004, when he became chairman of Wild Oats.
