EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Yucaipa Cos., the new owners of Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market here, said Tuesday it expects to build the chain into "a healthy, convenient food experience."
In its first statement since acquiring the stores from British-based Tesco last week, Yucaipa said consumers will see "many exciting changes in the coming weeks" that will improve convenience, hours and customer service, along with greater value, better prices and stores that are easier to shop.
According to Yucaipa, Fresh & Easy's existing infrastructure "offers a tremendous foundation from which to build even stronger capabilities to provide the highest level of freshness and convenience available."
