Aldi, the discounter whose revamped product selection is redefining possibilities for the limited assortment format, was selected by SN’s editors as the winner of the 2015 Retail Achievement Award.
This gallery illustrates Aldi’s most current store prototype, which opened recently in Niles, Ill. The store, described by Aldi’s U.S. CEO Jason Hart as “modern, fresh, efficient, bright and welcoming,” is the same 11,000-square-foot model the retailer will roll out to 45 sites around Southern California beginning next year.
Here, Aldi stores in the U.S. have replaced the Grandessa private label line with Specially Selected, a "black label" premium brand for items including these breads.
