MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P here yesterday announced it will offer online shopping service in Westchester County, N.Y., just north of New York City. A&P said it is the only online shopping service in Westchester County to offer same-day delivery of orders, which include in-store products selected at stores. Customers can place their orders in the morning, and receive their goods upon arriving home at the end of the day, said A&P, which will also deliver orders to a shopper’s place of business. Another feature is the “chill chain,” which ensures that all cold items are kept at the proper temperature through the delivery process. “We’re pleased to introduce this new same-day online shopping service to customers in Westchester County,” said Richard De Santa, A&P’s senior director of public affairs, in a statement. “Our same-day service is a rarity among online shopping businesses.”
