First Publix Super Market in New Bern open

The first Publix Super Market in Eastern Carolina opened on Wednesday, but we got a sneak peek inside Tuesday morning.
The Publix on South Glenburnie Road in New Bern has been under construction since last year.
The 49,000 square foot store opened for customers at 7 a.m. Wednesday.
The Florida-based grocery store is also building a new location in Greenville at the site of the old K-Mart on Greenville Boulevard.
There are currently 17 Publix locations in North Carolina.
