In a statement, AMI President and Chief Executive Officer J. Patrick Boyle said, "This strategic alliance between our industries provides the opportunity for phenomenal international trade show growth. [It] will allow us to provide the international food community with one-stop shopping for equipment, ingredients, supplies, and services for the meat, poultry, dairy and food industries."

Officials said the dairy and meat shows, while located in the same facility, would retain separate identities and trade show floors.

The event is scheduled for Oct. 30 through Nov. 2, 1997, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Officials said they expect the dual events to attract 25,000 to 30,000 attendees representing both industries.
