TORONTO -- Former Secretary of State James A. Baker III keynoted the Clarence Francis Leadership lecture that kicked off the Food Distributors International's Midyear Executive Conference here on Sept. 9. Following Baker's address, attendees gathered for a cocktail reception hosted for Baker. Approximately 300 FDI and National Grocers Association members and guests attended this year's executive conference that ended abruptly when terrorists attacked New York and Washington on Sept. 11.
