ORLANDO, Fla. -- Retailers, wholesalers and vendors attending the General Merchandise Distributors Council Fall Marketing Conference here were the star attractions in a ticker-tape parade down main street at Disney's MGM Studios. During the Sunday evening East Coast and West Coast theme party, nonfood executives enjoyed food and drink typically found at a New York street festival. They then strolled to the West Coast, where they met the zany citizens of Sunset Boulevard, winding up at an ice cream dessert and DJ/dance party.
