NEW YORK -- Services have been held here for Hedy Halpert, a founding member of the Network of Executive Women for the Consumer Products & Food Retail Industry, Chicago. Halpert helped launch NEW last year with a group of industry executives seeking ways to encourage greater diversity, and to recruit, retain and advance women executives in the consumer products and retail food industry. Prior to Halpert's involvement with NEW, she was senior vice president of marketing at Bill Communications here.
